Before you even begin, let me acknowledge that some major concepts in The Challengers series are not only based on Doctor Who, but are very much property of the BBC used without their knowlegde or consent. Keep in mind that these stories were written by a very young, naive boy with maturity issues and that no malice or plagerism was ever intended, nor has any money ever been made from the writing of these stories. I was a smitten fan then and still am now. Try to think of the stories in terms of fan fiction. If anyone from the BBC happens across these stories, please don't sue me. Besides, the stories aren't half bad for a 14 year old kid and, who knows, maybe an idea for an actual Doctor Who story may come from these.
